Save a Workitem with dojo

Fabian Ehls (1157) | asked Aug 14 '12, 2:06 p.m.
 Hello,

I have already coded some custom Widgets with dojo for RTC 3.0.1 editorPresentations to connect some custom APIs of my customers application landscape.

Now i have a widget that takes some arguments and after clicking a button is intended to save the current workitem and change the view to another based on the arguments given.

I already achieved to switch to another workitem without saving the current one using this:
var url = WorkItemUtil.getNewWorkItemUri2(args);
window.location = url;
Now i tried to just use the workitem editor to save my current workitem before doing the above like this:
var editor = com.ibm.team.workitem.web.ui.internal.view.editor.WorkItemEditor;
editor.save();
But this gives me a "is not a function" error. Am I Missing something?

 I finally used

this.params.parentController.save();

which works as intended. I think it is important to always go over "this" to achieve something workitem related.
