Change RTC-Server from Linux to System-i

Andreas Nicoladoni (19612523) | asked Aug 07 '12, 4:57 a.m.

Hallo,

at the moment the RTC-Server is running on a linux-system, the repository  and the buildserver

are on the i-series.

We have had the server on the system-i until my boss wants to have control over the server.

Now he wants to give back the control to the i-series development group.

Are there any known problems when changing the server.

Our current version on System-i is V6R1, we will install WAS 7.1 Express.

Current RTC version is 3.0.1

Change and Configuration Management - Core Libraries 3.0.1 (RTC-I20110602-0252)
Jazz Foundation - Core Libraries 3.0.1 (RJF-I20110602-0017)

Can anybody send a short documentation how to start with changing the server

Thanks for help.

Hello Andreas,

you can move your server to a different machine as long as the Public URI of your RTC installation remains stable. The following article has useful information for your case: https://jazz.net/library/article/686

Jorge.
