Downloading a few artifacts from an asset in a single click

Sripriya Karimpuzhasriram (134752) | asked Aug 02 '12, 4:59 a.m.

Hi,

We are using RAM 7.5.0.2 version. Consider an asset with say 20 artifacts, my requirement is to select 5 out of the 20 artifacts and download only those 5 artifacts. In 7.5.0.2 version, in the "Content" link in the "General details" page of the asset, there is no such option. We can only download the required 5 artifacts in 5 individual clicks. You cannot check the required files and download all of them together in a single click

We are planning to upgrade to RAM 7.5.1.1. Is this feature available in RAM 7.5.1.1?

Can you please let us know?

Thanks a lot!

Regards,

Sripriya

In 7.5.1.1, on the contents page, there is an action on the far right side of each artifact you can click to "Add artifact to download manager". The RAM download manager is an applet that allows downloading multiple files at the same time. It's not exactly the same as clicking a check box next to each artifact but it's similar in that instead of clicking a check box you click an action for each artifact. The RAM download manager takes care of the rest.

This feature is not in RAM 7.5.1.1.  Can you elaborate on what is it that you are downloading... why "the five" vs. the 20 artifacts that are in the asset?  Are tools like downloadThemAll an option for you?
