Whole purpose of archiving project areas
One answer
Archiving provides a way to indicate that a project is not active. By
default, the UI filters out archived projects so users won't see them.
You can think of archiving as similar to the Trash bin in your operating
system; the artifacts are effectively removed, even though they're still
kept around on disk.

Anytime the HD is full and you have no chance to delete inoperative
projects like test project.
Deleting the whole Database with is an alternative, but then the
important project will be delete, too.
