Repotool configuration with multiple Server Instances

Andrew Holden (1121) | asked Sep 05 '08, 11:38 a.m.
Hi,

We've just created a second instance of Jazz Server on our
physical server, by simply re-installing and configuring to use different port numbers, using the advice contained in entries on this forum.

I notice that the default (9080 and 9443) port numbers are referenced in the repotools plugin.xml file:
jazz\repotools\eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.team.repository.service_0.6.0.I200806181642\plugin.xml

Should we change these port numbers in the plugin.xml file? Any gotchas?

Sorry but I couldn't see any reference to this file in the guidance on installing multiple instances.

Thanks

The port numbers in the plugin.xml file should only be default values.
Those default values can be overriden by updating the values in the
teamserver.properties file. You should not need to modify any
plugin.xml entries.

The best way to get the teamserver.properties set correctly is probably
to start the server, go to the 'Advanced Properties' page of the admin
web UI and update the properties you see pointing to the wrong ports.
