Jazz Team Build get source straight from the workspace instead of extracting it

Stéphane Vantroyen (1111) | asked Jul 13 '12, 5:26 a.m.
 Hi,

is it possible to get source straight from the workspace instead of extracting it, when running a build in the Jazz build system?

In my build I use an ANT file that uploads file via FTP, but as the files are extracted from the workspace into a temp folder (each time the build runs), their creation and modification dates are "brand new" (moment of the extraction) which makes the FTP date comparison false : it is always newer thant what lies on the FTP server, even if it's not the case.

Any idea about this?

Thanks in advance

Is the purpose here to run a CI build based on the FTP date comparison? If that is the case, its not really designed for that. Its only setup to do CI via the accept from the desired stream.

You might be able to use the plain java client libraries to get the modification times or the changed files from the repository workspace. This would allow you to enhance your upload script to achieve what you desire.
