Is there a way to flag spam in the Forum?

I see a couple of new spam messages but didn't see any way to flag them as such.

Yes. Users with a minimum reputation of 200 points can flag questions or answers for moderation. They can be flagged as spam, offensive, off-topic, not nice, advertising, etc. Our staff will do best to quickly moderate and delete where necessary.

@Seth. Ah, I found it, it is in the menu 'More' report. Right?

We've got some new spam from user https://jazz.net/forum/users/rubbul0155

It would be nice to downgrade posts to -1 to make them disappear from the default view.
It would also be nice to be able to downgrade a user to -1 and have that block them from posting anything more until further review.

For now, I'm just retagging the spam I see using the tag "spam". Hopefully that makes it easier to cleanup, but doesn't prevent more from coming in from that user.

~Sean

Sean, I deleted what I could. I usually forward the users to the jazz site team for deletion. However, this week I have no access to my business mail account to do so.

Please use the reporting option (see accepted answer) instead of retagging. Retagging pushes that trash up in the list.

Also be careful. Downgrading an answer seems to cost you points (I got -1 for downgrading a spammer not to long ago)

I think you can degrade the items you found. I however, would agree that there should be a way to report spam. I deleted the spam posts of the user that I could find. I reported the user to higher powers to get the account deleted.

Thanks for reporting.

Hi Karl,

it seems that more administrative powers are activated as your reputation score goes up. I followed the links you mentioned and reported the spam answers in them as such.

The question remains how to report a user as the source of spam: https://jazz.net/forum/users/2577996 - it seems tedious to follow the links to all answers and report them one by one.

- Arne
