Running the jazz server

Jakub Jurkiewicz (59632) | asked Jul 16 '07, 6:49 a.m.
Hi All,

I've just downloaded the Jazz server (JazzTeamServer-1.0Beta1.zip) and wanted to run it as it is described at 'Jazz Server Setup Guide (Tomcat+Derby configuration)' tutorial.
I started from the 3rd point of this tutorial (the first two are suppose to be optional).
However, when I run server.startup.bat I got message:

call "C:\Documents an
d Settings\jjurkiewicz\software\jazz\server"\tomcat\bin\startup.bat
and was unexpected at this time.

I'm using Windows XP SP2.

Any idea what can be the problem?

It is saying that "and" is not expected at this time. Most likely because "and" is the command it is trying to execute due to a path containing "Documents and Settings".

ex: C:\Documents and Settings ... It is trying to run "and" as a command, which is not a windows com.

Try moving your download to C:\Jazz and then run the .bat file, I'll bet it works for you after the move :).
