Compare editor

Hi,
I have a question about Compare editor, which is mentioned in the following link.
http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.team.scm.doc%2Ftopics%2Ft_scm_conflict_content.html

When I opened the Compare editor, some buttons such as "Copy all Non-Conflicting Changes From Right to Left", "Copy Current Change From Right to Left", "Next Difference", "Previous Difference", "Next Change" and "Previous Change" are disabled.

What's the cause of it?

Hi,

I would assume this is because you are not in merge mode, where these would be required. Compare is read-only as far as I know.

Hi Ralph,

Thank you for your answer.
Could you let me know how to switch read-only mode to merge mode?
I could not find how to do it.

The merge mode is automatically enabled if you accept changes from the stream and have conflicts. The pending changes view indicates conflicts and the merge editor allows you to merge.

If you compare two versions it just shows you the differences.
