Hi,

I've tried to find article about "Non-LDAP External Registry". and found the following topic in the forum:
https://jazz.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11129&highlight=nonldap+external+registry
In this topic, there is a link to an article, however it seems that it doesn't exist. Please let me know if you have information about "Non-LDAP External Registry"

----------------------------------
I use a Non-LDAP User Registry and have Users/Roles configured in the WebSphere exactly as defined in http://jazz.net/library/techtip/321. I mapped the roles in Jazz app to roles from WebSphere too.

Thanks

Hello,

I am not sure if Satoshi tried to ask how we can exactly manage users in Jazz server with the non-LDAP WAS users.

Please let me ask from my side:

After we created users in WAS and add the users to the related Jazz groups defined in WAS, how we can have those users reflected in Jazz Team Server? Please note, those WAS groups are mapped to ccm, qm and jts modules.

I found that the "Import Users" option is disabled on JTS. I have no idea how we can "sync" the users in JTS with the users in WAS so that the passwords defined in WAS can be used and the groups in JTS for the users can map the mapped groups for the same users in WAS.

@frankxning: The Jazz Team Server can't "sync" users when using a non-LDAP external user registry because it can't import users. This limitation is noted in https://jazz.net/library/article/97:

If you are just testing, however, you can also configure a file based realm for application security. This realm will then be used for authentication and authorization, but Jazz will not be able to query what roles a user has or import users.

After manually created the user in JTS, I am able to login with the password defiend in WAS. I posted another question about the possible issue I can see.
