RTC client in french

Hi all,

We have installed the french pack of RTC 3.0.1.2 eclipse client , the fields of work item are in English except for the save option which is in french. Is there any way to have the fields of a work items in french? We have installed National language support pack also.

Hello,
ensure your Eclipse Client is started with the nl fr option:
http://help.eclipse.org/indigo/topic/org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv/reference/misc/runtime-options.html

Please note that some fields might inherit from the server locales too.
For a full french translation, you may need to:
- use a French translated Project Area (using a French Template)
- start the server using french locales: set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Duser.language=fr
(in the Tomcat serverstartup.bat)

Hi Eric,

We have one App server for RTC and we have majority of users who use it in English. Now a small group (around 60 people) started using RTC and they are french users. I would like to know if there is any possible way to do this with server being started supporting English?

Hello Adhithya,
given the location of the people connection the server,
keep the server in English - and have French people use the French flavor of the RTC Eclipse Client (using nl param),
and/or WebUI with French as preferred language.
