Cannot use Import Users button in Jazz admin console

Chris Errichetti (7173) | asked Aug 06 '08, 2:43 p.m.
Hi, all.

I have our Jazz server using WebSphere 6.1.0.15 and DB2 9.5. Also, we are using LDAPS authentication, which is working fine. The LDAPNightlySycnTask seems to be partially working so connectivity is confirmed working.

When I log into the admin console, click on User Management, and then on the Import Users button, I am prompted to Enter user name and have a Search to click on after I have typed in my search parameters. However, there is no place where I can type them in.

Has anybody seen this, too, and if so, determined a solution?

Thanks.
Chris

Well, if it's not a supported web browser, I'm going to skip reporting the issue.

And, IE6 is not a supported browser. See the online documentation:
https://jazz.net/jazzdocs/topic/com.ibm.team.install.doc/topics/c_supported_client_environments.html

Web browsers supported for use by the Web-based user interface:
* Mozilla Firefox 2.0
* Microsoft Internet Explorer 7

JAZZ DEVELOPER
FYI, this is only an issue in IE6. I was able to reproduce the problem in IE6, but the dialog appears correctly in IE7 and in Firefox.

To report a bug go here:
https://jazz.net/bugs/bugs.jsp

There are instructions on that page. Bugs are filed using the "Work
Items" section of the site. I would file this bug against
"Repository/Admin Web UI".

It would be a good idea for me to open a work item on this. How do I do that?

To make attachments I would recommend using Thunderbird as your news reader.

OK, so you've identified it as a problem using IE6. That's good to hear. If you want this fixed I would suggest opening a work item for it. Please include a screen shot in any UI related work item. Thanks.

I am using IE 6, and that could be the problem. I just tried it in Firefox 3 and it works. I have no problem with doing my administration in Firefox, so I'll just continue that way.

Thanks!
Chris
