New added presentations don't appear in old work items

yang lebo (2621) | asked Mar 29 '12, 10:27 p.m.
I added some new presentations in one kind of work item. But they only appear in new creation work items. For old work items (created before adding new presentation), they don't appear.

How can I make it works ?

You need to synchronize the attributes. In the Eclipse Client run a query for all the existing work items you want the new fields to appear in (example: All Unresolved Defects).

Then in the query output screen do a Select All, right-click on the Type column that has the Type icons and select Synchronize Attributes.

This will add the fields to all records selected in the query output.

Hi

If you have added an Attribute to your presentation, in the eclipse client you need to navigate to the work items - Types and Attributes", select your work item type, then click on the "Check attributes usages in repository" hotlink. RTC will then check that all the attributes are associated with all the work items, and will prompt you to add any missing ones to previously existing work items.

Hope this helps

Thanks a lot.

It seems the "Check attributes usages in repository" hotlink is only existed in RTC version 3.
Unfortunately, my server is RTC Version 2. No such link existed.

Anyway, thanks for your help!
