Assign a project role to multiple users?

Is there a way, preferably in the web UI, to assign a project role to multiple users at once?

For example, a large project with 100 stakeholders. I can easily add multiple users as members of a project, but when I need to assign them each a role, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this other than to individually click "Process Roles" next to each user. Is there a better way?

Or, in these cases, should one just edit the default role so that the majority of users don't need to be explicitly assigned another role?

Thanks,
Murad

When users are first added to a team area in the Eclipse client, it is
possible to assign a set of roles to all of them at once. But there is
no way to do a bulk change of the role assignments for users that are
already members of a team area. That has to be done one at a time.

In the web UI, all role assignments have to be done one user at a time,
even when adding users to a team area for the first time.

The default role is applied to everyone, including to users who are not
members of the team area. If you want team membership to mean
something, so that team members have different permissions than
non-members, then you need to assign a role to team members.
