What is the "Destroy lock of others" used for?
Hello:
I have a question about Locking. In the Process Configuration tab --> Team Configuration --> Permissions --> Show All Actions an Roles > Source Control >Save Stream > Modify > Stream > Locking > Destroy locks of others > Acquire, Release or Transfer locks Where does that get used? I didn't think we could lock streams? Is this talking about locking files? Or is it totally broken? If so, what is the bug number? I understand that currently only JazzAdmin can unlock files. If there is an RFE, I would like to know that number also, so that I can subscribe. Thanks! -Maggie |

A lock is always "on a giving file in a given stream".
So a given file can be locked in one stream, but not in another stream. Note: there currently is no "lock this file in all streams" operation, but there is a work item requesting the ability to do so ... in that case, the permission would be on the component that owns the file.
