Deleted Assets Still Show Up in Search
We've been cleaning up some test assets from the repository and noticed that they still show as search results 12 hours after they were deleted. After 24 hours they disappear. When you click the link it says that the file is no longer available, but this seems like a long time for it to show up in the search.
We have the Statistics Index Builder set to run every 10 minutes. All other jobs run once per hour except for User/Group update information which runs at 1am every day. Is there some other setting that can be changed to make it so that deleted files don't show up for so long? This is in RAM 7.5.1 Thanks..... |

The assets should be removed from search results within about a minute of deleting the asset. This process is handled by the Asset Index Builder. A couple of questions for you to try and diagnose the issue. Thanks! That pointed us in the right direction. Seems that the Files Open limit was never permanently set at a high enough number. Once we went past that number, the jobs quit running. I'm getting the parameter reset and made permanent now. Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction! |

1) If you submit a new asset does it show up in the search results? 2) If you navigate to Administration -> Tools -> View job status, do you see the Asset Index Builder job? If so, when was the last time it ran and what is its status? Is it running at least once a minute? |

Update:
It looks like the assets still show up. I thought they had disappeared but was wrong. When you click their name in the search result it says the asset was not found. Is this a known bug?
