Error saving user database

Anthony Giordano (2762615) | asked Jul 18 '08, 10:23 a.m.
This is happening with Beta3.

When a certain user tries to add him/herself as a subscriber to a work item,
the user is not listed. When the same user opens their user record, make a
small change to their name, and tries to save, the user gets a "Exception
occurred saving Tomcat user database" message. This seems to be happening
only for this user. Any clues?

Hi Tony,

Is there any further information in the Error Log of the client where the user is trying to save their user record? Or, in the server log?

Thanks,
Martha

I'll have to check the client log, but definitely nothing in the server
log.....

Is the user present in tomcat user database ?
({Jazz-Installation-Dir}/jazz/server/tomcat/conf/tomcat-users.xml file )

Do you see a warning or error message (at the top of the user editor) when
the user opens the user record in Eclipse editor or Web UI. The error
message will also be present in the client error log.
