Finding prerequisite change sets to accept
When accepting a change set, sometimes a message appears that says that the change set depends on another change set(s) that need to be accepted first. If there are a lot of pending incoming change sets, it is tedious to look through all of these to locate the prerequisites. It seems that RTC must know which change sets are prerequisite - is there a way to get it to show you this information?

It only knows an item in your workspace is modified by the change set but has a gap between the last change and the one you're accepting. You can try to look at the change set you're accepting and show history on the items to see if there are change sets in its history that you don't have. If you don't want to accept the change sets that will fill the gap, you could create a patch of the change set you want to accept. This would create a new change set if you want to deliver it. |
