How to link requirement dcouments to workitem
Hi All,
Request help in Link section of a workitem.
There are few requirement documents which are stored in the source stream .. those documents need to be linked in the workitem links section..
Now in the Editor presentation when I add a link section and click on "Add Presentation" ...I am seeing
NAME:
KIND:
LINK TARGET:
LINK TYPE :
I have searched in google...few posts are showing that you will see "Add Related documents" when you right click in the Links section and some posts are asking to add this as a pre-condition but I do not see option as "Add Related documents"
How to add a new link type by which I can add documents ?
Request help on the same.
Thanks & Regards,
Sandhya

Hi Sandhya,
I think the only mechanisms available are:
1. Upload the document as an attachment to the work item.
2. Attach the change set with your latest change to the work item using the SCM operations (might be available with the API as well)
3. Put the document somewhere where it is published as URL and link that URL.
Come back to this topic. If I want to link some documents to a story or task, shall I store the document in RTC or anywhere on the network as long as there is a URL can be linked to?
Thanks
Jirong
