We are on a windows platform using WAS and RTC 3.0.1. is there an Eclipse add-in that would make the repository connection for you using the windows credentials (logged into the Windows 7 or windows 2008) so that we don't have to enter our passwords? Every time the network password is changed, it require us to go thru every repository connection and reset the password. I understand that Eclipse has something already for SQL Server using windows authentication but I can't find if anyone wrote an add-in for RTC.

The SSL Certificate option is not as clean either since it would require each user to ge their own certificate and typically, our certificates expire annually.

Thanks
Anatole

In general, your RTC login is unrelated to your windows credentials, but
I assume in your case, you are using the same LDAP server for both, and
therefore the user-id and password are the same.

Yes, if you are using the same LDAP server, username and password are the same for both Windows and RTC.
But, you have to re-submit in RTC your password every time it expires/changes... :?

We are also interested in such a feature.
Cheers.

Hi Anatole,

To my knowledge, there is currently no way to do what you are asking.
In general, your RTC login is unrelated to your windows credentials, but
I assume in your case, you are using the same LDAP server for both, and
therefore the user-id and password are the same.

But it certainly would be cool if this could be done.

Cheers,
Geoff
