Best way to import existing bugs into Jazz work items

Harleen Sahni (6642) | asked Jun 28 '07, 4:39 p.m.
I want to move to Jazz but need to move my existing bugs to Jazz also. Right now, they're stored in SharePoint. I don't need synchronization, I only need to move the bugs once, after that all bugs will be handled in Jazz. What would be the best way to move the bugs over to Jazz? I see there are some interop interfaces I could possibly extend, but that seems like it might be over kill since I just need to do this once. Is it possible to try and import the bugs directly into the Derby DB?

Thanks,

Harleen

Hi Harleen,

Currently Jazz has only an importer for Bugzilla bugs (see menu "Import
Team > Bugzilla Bug Reports").
But this importer supports the Bugzilla XML export format. So if you

can export your bugs from SharePoint in this format (or convert a
SharePoint export format into the Bugzilla format), it might be
possible to import them into Jazz.
