Plan contains more than 2048 workitems
Hi, we have a plan with more 2048 work items and we are getting a warning about the size of the plan exceeding RTC limits . Work assigned to child-iteration of this plan still get counted in this plan. Two questions:
- How can we assign work to child iterations so that they won't get counted in the parent plan/iteration? - What are the consequences of this warning if we don't take any actions? Thanks Lila |

As of RTC-2.0.0.1, this is no longer a hard limit, but just a warning
that plans with large numbers of work items (i.e., more than 2000) can show decreased performance in the GUI. My understanding is that this number is based on the number of items that would be shown in the plan if you removed all filters. So this depends on the plan type/view. Note that my understanding is that the check box of "show all items" or "show all Execution Items" does affect the number of items considered in the plan, so one way to decrease the number of plan items is to not check that box. Planning Team: Please correct anything I got wrong in the above guidance. Cheers, Geoff On 5/16/2011 8:23 AM, lbehzadi wrote: Hi, we have a plan with more 2048 work items and we are getting a |

Note: I did post work item 166440 to get this message fixed, and the
response from the Planning team is that this message should just be removed. So until then, just ignore it. Cheers, Geoff On 5/16/2011 12:06 PM, Geoffrey Clemm wrote: As of RTC-2.0.0.1, this is no longer a hard limit, but just a warning |
