See individual Resource Allocation across Multiple Project

Kristopher Hyndman (1132) | asked May 03 '11, 6:31 p.m.
Need a View or Query to see allocation of resources that ay not be dedicated to a single project. A user may be over allocated across multiple projects. There is not a way to view in RTC. Resource Allocation is only for an individual Project

It is a clear case of 'Resource Overloading' and the potential solution to it may be a resource scheduling software which would let you know the resource is already allocated across a different project. A resource scheduling software saves your precious time & money unlike the manual scheduling where you have to invest a lot of time keep in mind the risk of committing a mistake which can prove fatal. I have came across many scheduling software's but one which stand's out the best is 'eResource Scheduler' by Enbraun. It supports features like drag & drop scheduling, time-sheets, forecasting reports, financial reports which can efficiently manage & schedule all your resources(human & non-human).

In RTC-3.0.1, Resource Allocation for a given user/resource is done
across all project areas in a repository. I believe that is also true
in RTC-3.0.

I guess that this takes care of just being able to see the different allocations across projects in the User's profile under 'Work Environment'. But it does not allow us to see this information per resource across all of our projects. We need a way to see this information rolled up and not need to go to every single resource's profile to compile the data.
