Error trying to add license for user (CRJAZ1534E error)

Hi,

I'm trying to add a license for a user. This is on a RTC 3.0 installation which was an upgrade of a 2.0 installation. The user hadn't been used since the upgrade, but others have been using the system without problem for several weeks.

Every time I try to save the user I get a CRJAZ1534E error with the following stack trace:

I'm not sure if this is the root problem because we were originally trying to get the user connected, but he cannot see any stream workspaces in his repository workspaces. He is added to the team. The missing license seems to be the only difference from working users.

Any ideas?

We had similar issue on Rational Quality Manager 3.0.1 where we couldn't update any user in RQM. This workaround fixed the issue. Thank you Jazz.net.

In the case of rational team concert 3.0 there are two repotools:

repotools-jts
repotools-ccm

Using the last one with the solution described avobe solve the problem.

Hi All,
The user data needs to be re-synched between the CCM and JTS.
1- Run the below repotools to Import User Mapping
repotools-jazz.sh -migration_importUserMapping fromMappingFile=<empty>
where <empty> is a file with no contents.

2-Proceed with running the repotools indexing commands as per the Information Center Guide to Repository Database Migration.
repotools-jazz -rebuildTextIndices
repotools-jazz -reindex

Hi,

I've the same problem. Impossible to modify a user (CRJAZ1534E error).
I was editing user in /ccm user management. I try editing it in /jts (jazz team server main application) and the user update works.

Best regards

Damien

I'm also having the same issue with RTC 3.0. Any time we make a modification to a user (e.g. changing mail settings or giving them licenses), when we try and save we see that error code / stack trace.

In the short term, I have found a workaround to giving the users licenses:

Go to the user admin section (on JTS), and select Client Access License Management from the left navigation panel. You then select the license you want from the drop down, and click the Assign Developer Licenses link on the top-right of the page.

 The workaround

Go to the user admin section (on JTS), and select <b:43a68aaf94>Client Access License Management</b:43a68aaf94> from the left navigation panel. You then select the license you want from the drop down, and click the <b:43a68aaf94>Assign Developer Licenses</b:43a68aaf94> link on the top-right of the page.

Is great...It worked for me
