RTC 3.0 IBM i Language definitions / impact analysis

James Cole (9532430) | asked Feb 24 '11, 10:59 a.m.
Hi All,

A language definition can be created for RPG. This definition cannot be deleted but can be archived. It would appear that there is no option to restore this once you have done it. Is this correct?

The other problem I have is that it would appear that the language definition is tied to the repository and not a project. Therefore does a source code data scan use any language definitions defined in any project, or is it tied to a particular project for the definitions?

This means that if you accidentally archive a language definition, then it cannot be modified, restored or re-created.

One other thing I noticed is that the dependencies that are collected for the file and programs are by default not valid for impact analysis.

Has anyone else come across these behaviours?

Many Thanks

James

It happens to me. Does anyone know how to restore it?
