On the article 496 (http://jazz.net/library/article/496) I can read:

- WebSphere Application Server 7.0 Fixpack 9
- DB2 Enterprise Server Editions v9.5 FP 3.5a, v9.7
- DB2 Workgroup Server Editions v9.5 FP 3.5a, v9.7

What exactly means the term the term "Bundled"?
Are the WAS and DB2 products (with respective licenses) included on RTC 3.0?
If yes, where can I download it?

Thanks in advance.
Bye.

Angelo,

Bundled here means that you have a limited license to use these products with RTC only, so you can run 1 WAS instance for RTC or if you have and enterprise license you can run 1 live WAS env and 1 fail-over machine since you will only ever be using one license, same for DB2 this is only for hosting RTC related databases so CCM and JFS in this case.

As far as downloading them, they are available on a separate tab but right along side the regular downloads.

Sorry these are not live links in this release, let me see if I can find where you do get these from or if someone else can chime in.

Sean,

thanks for your reply. For 3.0 version, I've found installation informations on this article http://jazz.net/library/article/549.
My problem are the licenses. Where can I find them?

Thanks in advance.
Bye.

Just to be sure...do I understand correctly that when installing/using RTC one is entitled to use WAS and DB2 for free?

Hi

If you are evaluating RTC, then the links on the Downloads page (https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/releases/3.0?p=optionalPrograms) are to trial versions of the DB2 and WAS products. For example, the WAS version you can download is time-limited to 60 days.

If you have purchased RTC, you should find copies of DB2 and WAS (for use with RTC only) along with RTC on your IBM Passport Advantage site. These do not require a license key to activate.

regards

Hi Ulf

If you have purchased RTC, you do indeed have access to specific versions of WAS and DB2 at no extra charge - to run RTC.

Thanks! A lot of pre-sales guys (even at IBM) don't know this, I guess.

Does this mean that if you use RTC in a C/ALM solution, DB2 and WAS aren't available for use? What's the best option then, if you want to use RRC and RQM as well?

RQM and RRC also include an entitlement to use DB2/WAS for RQM and RRC,
respectively. So you can use DB2/WAS for any of the CLM applications
you have purchased.

Cheers,
Geoff

@ Geoffrey Clemm

I have donwloaded and installed trial versions of IBM WAS v8.5.5 and DB2 v10.1 but I donwloaded activationkeys/license for IBM Rational JAZZ clm products (RTC, RRM, RQM). DO I still need license keys for IBM WAS and DB2?

Reponse will highly be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
