RTC V2 to V3 upgrade - Project areas missing

Francis Kemp (7212944) | asked Dec 01 '10, 6:35 p.m.
Just went through the steps for the RTC V2 to V3 upgrade. All the 'repotools' commands ran successfully, but my project area and users are all missing in V3.

Clearly I messed up somewhere. Anyone have any ideas before I try again tomorrow?

In case you were wondering - our setup is as standard as it gets - we're using Derby for the databases.

Hi Fran,

have you looked into this http://jazz.net/library/article/524 as well?

Not sure what the issue is you have.

If you are using Derby then there is a bug in the online help that I
filed here:
https://jazz.net/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/140750

It specifies the wrong target directory for copying the database, which
results into no data except users to be migrated.

Peter.

Peter - I had the same experience that you described in the bug description that you referenced. Off to try it again!

Ralph - I used that doc during the upgrade.

Thanks for the replies.

Hi,

another learning. I remembered the path in the teamserver.properties being different from what to expect from the help. I guess I just fixed it and did not catch there is a bug.

Good luck,

Ralph
