Using RTC Build for Visual Studio

Yaron Norani (47267065) | asked Nov 28 '10, 3:02 a.m.
Hello,

We are using RTC2.X for visual studio 2005 project.
Currently we use hudson for our builds.

We would like to evaluate the option to quit using hudson and use only rtc builds.

Also we do not use ANT. We use microsoft builds for our c++ dev.
What is the best way to configure such an environment?

plaese note that we need the ability to parse build results.
for example, we need to know which workitem or changeset cause the build to fail, and send email to the relevant developer.

Thanks,

Yaron Norani

If you want to smooth the transition, or get Hudson and RTC Build to interoperate, see the article:
http://jazz.net/library/article/350

Also note that configuring RTC builds for MS VS solutions is -much- simpler now in RTC 3.0. See "Jazz Build for Microsoft Visual Studio Solution"
