Hello,

I need a way to create a work item a via a command line (for Client or web based -RTC/Jazz environment).
This work item will be of type Bug or Feature request, filed against a component. Any way this can be done?

I've discovered I can create a bug or feature request via the command line.
This is what I have: https://myserver.com/jazz/web/projects/EA#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.newWorkItem&type=bug

Is there a way to tie this bug or feature request to a component/filedAgainst?

I believe the filed against field is called "category" so you might try with &category="EA/something" or you might try with com.ibm.team.workitem.attribute.category
