Any issue if below 3 Rational products are configured to work with DB2 V9.5. Currently RAM v 7.2 has already been configured with DB2 v9.5

1) Clear Quest - v 7.0.1.2
2) Requisite Pro - v 7.0.1.2
3) Robot Test Manager - v 7.0.1.2

Rational Products Dependencies - During Bying OR Implementation OR Installing OR Configuring or Uninstalling

Assuming that we have set of Rational products (listed below), what is the sequence for installing and configuring those products ? any guidelines ?
1. Requirement Composer
2. Rational Software Architect
3. Rational Application Developer for Websphere
4. Rational Software Modeler
5. Rational Asset Manager
6. Rational Team Concert
7. Rational Insight
8. Rational Quality Manager

Please suggest if there is any Rational product that is missing in the list that might add value OR that could be suggested based on the product dependencies.

RAM supports DB2 v9.5. Our supported databases can be seen here.

It includes a limited use license for customers who don't have DB2 already so that they can install and use DB2 with RAM. The included limited use license is only entitled for RAM.

If a customer already owns and operates DB2 instances, they can of course use RAM with those instances.

Details of the RAM 7.2 license terms, including for DB2 can be seen here.

This is a very broad question., and is certainly not specific to RAM or this forum. The answer depends upon your hardware, server and client operating systems and installed software. You should engage with the IBM Software Services for Rational team who can analyze your situation, compare that against all the product requirements and install dependencies and determine a strategy for client and server installs and configuration.

Generally speaking you should install the server components first. Many of the client components can shell share via Eclipse. You'll need to review and compare each products shell sharing support., Eclipse levels, and technotes, to determine the appropriate installl order.
