Cannot import 'ccsync' LDAP account

Tim Mulligan (22633214) | asked Apr 30 '10, 12:28 p.m.
Hi. We created a 'ccsync' admin account for our ClearCase Synchronizations and we are ready to add it as a member on the RTC projects/teams that will utilize CC Sync Streams. However we are unable to import it. I have proved that it is a member of the LDAP auto group which controls RTC access, yet the LDAPNightlySyncTask is not auto-importing it and the manual "Import Users" WEB UI function is not seeing it. It appears this function is designed to search by user name only, but the 'ccsync' account has no associated user name (null First and Last name). Is there anything we can do? Thanks --Tim

Hi Tim,

The simplest thing would be to have your IT folks add some suitable
dummy first/last name to the ccsync LDAP account. Is there some
corporate policy that forbids that?

Cheers,
Geoff
