RAM - Issue regarding RAM installation - Jazz Administrator

Ricardo Dias (86105) | asked Apr 19 '10, 10:57 a.m.
Hi,

I encountered some problems during the RAM installation. Specifically on Team Concert configuration.

I found the screen as follow:
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y81/Raveck/message.jpg

The message in red says:
"Login was successfull, but the admin user is not a member of JazzAdmins function and it's not authorized to perform any action. Maybe it is necessary to finish the User and Authentication step."

Could this be related to RTC server configuration?

Thanks and Regards!

Try to go from the first step of Server setup (click on Step 1 on the header) all the way to the end and restart server if necessary, does that error go away ?

if not, can you go to the jazz url
https://.../jazz/admin

and see what error do you get there

if there is an error there,

try to open the jazz.log from websphere's logs
and see if there is any errors relating to the database.

what is the websphere version and fixpack
what type of database and version of the database are you on

Hi. Thanks for your help!
Here are the requested information. I did not performed the steps described above yet. Do you think it would solve the queston?

RAM - 7.2.0.2
WAS - 7.0.0.0
Database: DB2 9.5.5

Thank you very much!

I see your problem WAS 7.0.0.0 is the issue (very old JVM causes strange RTC problems , its a known issue), try to be on latest fixpack 7.0.0.9 , server setup must have given you a warning for the fixpack being old ? when applying fixpack apply both AppServer & SDK fixpacks, otherwise your JVM will not be updated

Fixpacks for WAS 7.0 are available at

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980#ver70
