Is it possible to read RTC feeds outside of RTC using a feed reader like RSS Owl?

I think you want to take a look at the "Allowed Anonymous URL Prefixes"
property in admin properties. This will disable authentication. I am out
of ideas how to change authentication to be either BASIC or FORM, I
guess this would mean modifying the web.xml itself.

Hi Ben,

Is it possible to have BASIC authentication on feeds, but FORM identification for other? Sorry if I missed it in the technote, but I didn't see this combination

Keith

Hi,

this means configuring the server so that requests to the IFeedService
are going through a BASIC authentication scheme as opposed to a FORM
based authentication scheme that no standalone feed reader is able to
handle properly (it is meant for Web Browsers).

Ben

PS: You defnitley made a good choice at the feed reader you are using ;-)

Actually beginning with 2.0 you shall use the Admin property "Allowed
Anonymous URL Prefixes". It has a specific example for how to unprotect
feeds.
