Creating "Depends On" Links across servers

Jerry Hammerton (111) | asked Feb 25 '10, 2:19 p.m.
We have multiple RTC 200x servers and projects within those servers. Wondering is there is a way to get the servers to talk to each other so that we can do things like create work item links that are referenceable across servers?

I/E:

Server 1, project 1, has work item 1.
Server B, project B, has work item b.

work item b depends on workitem 1.

So... I want to create a "Depends on" link. When I try to do this I can't see server 1, work item 1.

Any pointer to "how tos" would be great. Or is this a future feature that is planned?

Thanks

We support cross repository links between work items with the "Related
Change Request" link type. Loosely coupled links between repositories is
also one of the main goals of the 3.0 release and supporting
semantically richer link types like "Depends On" makes perfect sense to me.

You would need to set up the servers as friends and establish project
linking for them. There are documents about that, but jazz.net seems to
be down right now, so I can't give you the exact links yet.
