Work item template management
I cannot find a way to delete, edit, or organize work item templates. I did not see how to in the help -- are these use cases supported?

Jan,
Why has been decided to place the work item template management under the advanced license? We are using the express version of RTC. Is there a way that we can manage the templates? Kor Meelker Koopman International Geoff, The work item templates are stored as attachments to the project area. |
Geoff,
you covered the scenarios supported in 2.0.0.2. Thanks for the good summary, Jan. -- Jan Wloka Jazz Work Item Team On Mon, 25 Jan 2010 03:31:41 +0100, Geoffrey Clemm <geoffrey> wrote: The work item templates are stored as attachments to the project area. |

The work item templates are stored as attachments to the project area.
You can see them if you open the Process Configuration tab of the process area. In particular, look in: Project Configuration -> Configuration Data -> Work Items (advanced) There is a button there to "remove" a template, so that takes care of the "delete" case. What did you have in mind by "organize"? WRT edit, I believe you have to: - instantiate the template - modify the resulting work items - create a new template The downside of this approach is that you cannot delete work items, which means that you are stuck with those scratch work items that you created just to edit the template. Note that you can move those work items over to some "template editing" project, to get them out of the way, and then re-edit those work items whenever you need to edit that template, instead of instantiating a new set. work item team: am I missing anything here?
