Cross-Projects Work Items Queries
Hi all,
It doesn't seem that it is possible to cross reference multiple projects in a single query in RTC. I'd like to be able to see in one single view all my involvements in more than 10 projects I'm assigned to (as a support team member). We'd like to use RTC's WI as a ticketing system to allow the developers to adequately plan our activities. The only way I have to keep up with the notifications is to read my mails. With those huge days of work, it is really easy to forget to deal with WI that were assigned to us a some days ago. We'd like to be able to plan our involvements into the projects by running a single query (or fewer set of queries) in order to be able to plan adequately the next steps. I also have to mention that each project has its own Eclipse Workspace. I know that we can spwan reports from multiple projects into the same dashboard, but is this the only way to regroup cross-projects WI information? Is there an easy way to help us deal with that problem? I thank you all |

Another (if you use the Eclipse client) is to set up a query section in Team Central with the different queries that select your work items. -- Regards, Patrick Jazz Work Item Team |

The 2.0.0.2 help talks of cross-repository queries, but it sounds like the queries available are pre-determined. Could you create your own query to pull all of your open defects from multiple projects in the same query? Thanks! |
Could you please provide a pointer on how to use the Dashboard to pull When I mentioned the Dashboard, I thought about creating a 'Work Item' viewlet per project area and query. This wouldn't show you the aggregated results of the queries in one viewlet, but at least side by side. The other request is tracked in https://jazz.net/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/100689 -- Regards, Patrick Jazz Work Item Team |
