Problem with selecting team area in reports?
I am creating a "Change Set Activity" viewlet on our project web site. In the configuration page, it has the correct Project Area selected. I then click "Edit" next to "Query:" so that I can define the specific stream(s) to report on. When I do this, I get a dialog that has query parameters for Team Area, Stream, Component, and Duration. However, Team Area, Stream, and Component are all empty -- there is nothing to select in these lists! (Duration has the static list of Last Year, Last 6 months, etc.)
How does something get into the "Team Area" list for this report so that I can select it, and then select the stream(s)?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

As a follow up to this, if I pick a different report, say "Closed Work Items Daily" and bring up the query builder for that, the "Team Area" selector has all the teams in it, plus an "Unassigned" entry, plus a checkbox for "My Team Areas." That's what I was expecting to see in the "Change Set Activity" query builder.
In addition, I tried this on the "File Change Activity" report, and got the same results as the "Change Set Activity" report -- empty Team Areas/Streams/Components lists.
Thanks,
Mike

The SCM data mart snapshot, which collects information about streams for
reports such as this, only runs on streams that you have selected (for
performance reasons). By default it doesn't run on any streams, which
means no parameters or data are available. To enable it for your stream,
log in to the web ui as a user with appropriate permissions, and select
the "Administer SCM Snapshot" link at the bottom of the left-hand
navigation panel in the Reports web ui. Select the checkbox beside any
streams for which you would like data collected. Then save the changes.
Any subsequent snapshots that are taken will include SCM data for these
streams, and after that you should see data in the reports.

James,
OK, thanks! Did this and I do get my streams listed now. However, once I run the report, it only puts a single line on the report, with today's date, and marks all prior changesets as occurring today, even though they occurred over several days in the past. Is this just because it's the first day that I've collected data? IE, will this show the correct count tomorrow once tonight's run is done?
Thanks,
Mike

There is no workaround for this. The time stored in the change set is different from the time when the change set gets delivered to the stream. Currently RTC does not store the time of when the change set was delivered.
Hi, did the question posted by fabiorocha get answered? I can't see the same option to enable more stream data to be collected in RTC 3.0.1.1. There are about 40 streams in the repository but data is only collected in 6 of them.

In RTC 3.0.1 and later, you can get to the same page a little differently. Run a report that would present SCM information, such as the "Project Activity" report. At the bottom of that report, there's a link in the "About This Report" section that takes you to the Administer SCM Snapshot page.
Let me know if this doesn't work for you.

To reach SCM Snapshot Administration, Use the link below by replacing
1) hostname
2) Project Area name
https://localhost:9443/ccm/web/projects/<my_project_area>#action=com.ibm.team.reports.admin&id=com.ibm.team.reports.admin.datawarehouse.scm
or
follow the steps james suggested. Hope this will improve in future
