From task to test

HI

I was wondering what other people are doing about including testing in their use of RTC. I am assuming the use of the SCRUM template. There are three parts to this:

1) Do you create explicit test tasks - linked back to the coding tasks or is testing part of the task?

2) Is a typical task complete when the testing is done (by the test team), or when the coding is completed. This affects the meaning of the lifecycle states in work items, and the lifecycle itself.

2) Is your test team divided amongest the dev teams, or separate? If they are part of the dev team areas, then it is hard for the test manager to see what her team is doing. If the test team is part of a separate team, then how do you allocate work to that test team that is to test code associated with work items allocated to other teams.

Any comments or ideas?

many thanks

anthony
