DNG and DXL = False, but what's the alternative?

It's clear from the forum postings and searching that those who have a ton of experience with Legacy DOORS are going to find the lack of a simple scripting capability disappointing.

it's a clear disappointment that the route to adding dynamic capabilities to the way a Module View is visualized, or other beneficial administrative tasks that are easily done via a scripting language are outright missing in DNG.

I do ask what is the alternative then to DNG?   It's an important question because obviously there is a large customer base who actually want the capability for user-facing scripting.

Hi Jeff,

The alternative is using DNG widget API mixed with OSLC. You can find documentation under this link https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RMExtensionsMain.

Disadvantage of this approach is processing large batches of data because web browser is not perfect runtime environment to do that.
