#RPE#DNG#Planning upgrade from CLM v 6.0.6 to ELM v 7.0.1

Sunil Mudikonda (133) | asked Feb 18 '21, 2:49 p.m.

Hi,

We are planning to upgrade from CLM v 6.0.6 to ELM v 7.0.1, we have few RPE custom templates deployed in DNG.

Will the deployed templates works fine after migration or do we need to take any precautions or re deploy the templates after migration ? Will the templates created in RPE v6.0.6 can be deployed in RPE v 7.0.1or do we need to re create the template in ELO Publishing and then deploy?

Can you please help in understanding if we can reuse the templates created in 6.0.6 in 7.0.1.

Thank You !

Regards,
SG

Yes, you can use the templates created in 6.0.6 (or any older version of RPE) in ELM v 7.0.1.

 Hi Subramanya Prasad,

Thanks for your response, one last question how about the custom template files deployed in DNG, will there be any impact on them after upgrade ?

Thank You !

SG.

They should be retained, but I am not sure. To be on safer side, you can take a backup of RRDG templates, Word templates and manifest.mf file so that you can use them again (if you don't find them) after upgrade.
