How to migrate source code Stream from RTC 2.0 to RTC 6.0.6

gaurao khadse (15114) | asked Sep 01 '20, 3:55 a.m.

 Hello All,

We have two instance of CLM one is running on 2.0 and other on 6.0.6.
I want to migrate RTC stream from 2.0 to 6.0.6.

The RTC 2.0 instance upgrade is not possible as its out of support.
Where can i find RTC 2.0 Instillation file? so i can test?

If you can live with leaving the history, you can

  1. With the old 2.0 client
    1. Create a repository workspace of the streams configuration you want to bring over.
    2. Load the repository workspace to disc
    3. Disconnect from the SCM system.
  2. Duplicate the repository workspace
  3. With the 6.x client
    1. Share all the Eclipse projects into a new repository workspace/stream/component.
Note that this is a general approach that could look different based on how your data is organized.
Note also that you can use the share approach multiple times and create baselines during the import to recreate at least some history. You would start with the oldest configuration of the stream. This does not allow a very fancy history.

Hi Gaurao,
Did you try contactin IBM support? They might make an exception for you if your goal is to upgrade. Alternatively they can provide you any other way how to migrate the code.
