Removed component is restoring to stream from the build workspace

vinay kumar bondugula (7312564) | asked Jun 03 '20, 2:21 a.m.

 Hi,

Our SCM team removed a component from a stream and expecting the component be removed from all the connected workspaces. They are able to accept the incoming change as removed component and able to accept the change. But the same is not happening on a daily build workspace, instead of incoming change the workspace always having a outgoing change to deliver the component to the stream. I have verified the flow target for workspace and it is set as current for both incoming and outgoing. Please let us know in case we are missing something in removing the component from a build workspace.

Thanks,
Vinay

A build workspace behaves as any other repository workspace. You need to manage the components like you would for any other workspace.

There are component related configurations you can do in the build definition on the Jazz Source Control tab as well. E.g. you can exclude components from loading or use load rules. What that does is explained on that page. Note that not loading a component, does not remove it from the repository workspace. If you want a component removed, you would have to remove it.
