Document Generation Failed with Invalid output state

Hello,

After publishing almost 400000 commands and generate document about 900 seconds it exits with the following error.

CRRPE3096E Output processing could not continue due to an error.

[Error context] Template is C:\Users\SunilMudikonda\Desktop\RQM_Test_Export\Working\IKEA_Excel_Export.dta
[Error context] Template element is 58
CRRPE3617I Data request time for artifact - https://hostname/qm/service/com.ibm.rqm.integration.service.IIntegrationService/resources/SOM%28Quality+Management%29/testscript/urn:com.ibm.rqm:testscript:84881 : 0.332 seconds
CRRPE1064I Error in engine

Invalid output state.

CRRPE3012E IBM Rational Publishing Engine error.
Invalid output state.
CRRPE1064I Aborting engine execution...
CRRPE1064I Document generation finished in 880 seconds.
CRRPE3603I Enable the Core Debug Mode for RPE to receive additional information on errors.
CRRPE1022I The process was completed in 881.253 seconds.
CRRPE1023E The document could not be generated.

Template element 58 is Expected results, request you to kindly help in resolving this issue.

Could you share details about Publishing version and how many rows do you expect in generated document?

Greetings !

We are using RPE version 6.0.6.1

We are publishing more than 2000 test cases including test steps where the expected rows could go beyond 20000.

Hi Sunil,

I also had the same errors as you describe after installing and running RPE 606x

CRRPE1064I Error in engine

I was able to resolve it with the following modifications.

Make back-up copies of the following 2 .ini files


C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Rational\Publishing Engine\studio\rpe-studio.ini
C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Rational\Publishing Engine\launcher\rpe-launcher.ini

(there will be no (x86) in the paths if you have installed 64bit version)

Add the following line to both ini files
-Dcom.ibm.rational.rpe.tls12only=true

Save the ini files and then try running the publishing jobs again.

^I edited this answer to make it clearer which .ini files I was referring to. I don't have RPE installed at the moment but those were the names of the 2 ini files last time i did this.
