Backing Up User Data/Config Files Specifically

 So our jazz server runs on a VM. My question is (I'm just the sys admin for the environment, know nothing about the internals of Jazz) is it possible to backup the user data/config files/whatever specifically from jazz to an external hard drive, instead of backing up the entire VM?


The applications admins are going to do a server rename, but they wanted to backup the data first. Does anyone know, is the Jazz user data stored in a SQL server or some folder, or what? Basically can I backup everything to an hdd I'd need to get a new Jazz server up and running again with the same data/user info so nothing gets lost?
