How is a custom link type created?

For linking DNG <--> RTC, <DNG <--> RQM, and RTC <--> RQM.

After reading IBM Rational Help on "Creating link types for requirements projects", I understand custom link types can be created. However, when creating a custom link type is a URI required to be defined?

If so, how do identify the URI for the new custom link type?

I am using 6.0.6 iFix 005.
No global config management.

You're out of luck with respect to cross-domain link types - you're stuck with the pre-defined set. This is the most up-to-date and concise explanation I could find.

You can create custom link types within a domain, e.g.: DOORS NG. You need to go into the project/component properties. I would advise to always give any user-defined link types, attribute types, enumerations, attributes, artifact types, etc an RDF URI.

Hi Adrian -

Expanding on the question, do we need to define our custom RDF in order to use the links with OSLC?

We're using the OSLC4J Lyo package.
