how to edit small string variables from query result?

Satish Narayanachar (96425) | asked Sep 19 '18, 2:46 p.m.

HI All,

Assume I have 2 attributes TypeA(small string) and TypeB(Enumeration).

I can edit the TypeB attributes from the query result and my client requirement is to edit TypeA also from the query result they do not want to open the work item and then perform edit.

How can I edit the workitems( string type) from the query result?

is it possible or not, if yes how?

thanks in advance,

Satish

In your query, click on 'edit multiple workitem' menu(2nd menu). A checkbox will appear in front of each workitem.
Now select the ones you want to edit, you will see the column of TypeA(supposed you added TypeA to the column of query) has green '+' on the column name. Click on green '+' next to TypeA and a new TypeA with field for edit will show up on the top of query result. Add new string to the field and click on green triangle on the right hand menu to make it effective. Then the screen will be refresh and you would have the new string of TypeA for the selected workitem.
