RQM raise defects in RTC config implications

Norman Dignard (356688167) | asked Aug 31 '18, 9:10 a.m.

In our setup at the application layer, we’ve configured RQM to raise defects in CCM.  This enables defects raised during test executions in QM to be created in RTC based on the “friends” relationships defined in each  groups LCM projects .

We have a request for a new RQM PA linked to an existing RTC "Modification Request" PA . The RTC PA has only one custom record type a "Modification Request" of category CR of Defect.   It is used by our customers to report issues against a variety of systems in use. LCM teams do not do their work in this PA. They have their own CLM projects for this and only link their work items to the  "Modification Request" for traceability.

I suspect that this out-of-the box enabled capability will not work in this instance .

What options do we have to enable raising a "Modification Request" as opposed to a Defect work item type for the RQM PA only?

Hi Norman,

This scenario is supported.  The creation and selection dialogs exposed in RQM originate from RTC.  They allow the user to select the work item type in the dialog.
