JIRA integration with RTC

arun sudarsanam (2528) | asked Aug 09 '18, 7:51 a.m.

Need to integrate RTC with JIRA tool.

If a new issue/epic/task created in JIRA, it should be automatically created in RTC along with comments and populate mandatory fields of RTC.

Is there any adapter or plugin available in market that supports this use case.

You could also use the Jira OSLC plugin:http://open-services.net/software/jira-oslc-plugin/ .You would then register the two servers as friends and set up the link types.

The advantage of this is that you would avoid all the replication of data between systems and the need for a third party tool synchronising data between both.

The disadvantage of this is that you are then not using RTC, you're using Jira - and I am being only semi-facetious here :-). It means you would then be doing all your planning and work item management in Jira views and reports, but could link source code and builds in RTC.

Given that your team has decided to use Jira for this stuff instead of RTC anyway, it means you must be happy with how Jira does things in this area, so this may be seen as an advantage.
