Hi All,

I use CLM 6.0.6
I would create a new link type and use this new link created to make an relationship between two work items

I created the new link type but I.m not able to see this link, on the work item page, in link section

Can you please help me

Hi @Luca
in CLM version 6.0.6, it's possible to create a new link type in the project administration. (see screenshot below)
But I'm not able to use this use to configure the relationship between work items

Did you deploy the link type?

Custom Link Types, like any extensions, must be deployed in order to become available.

You must perform a server-side deploy as well as a client-side deploy.

unfortunately, I have never created link types this way, I have always followed the "manual recipe".

Check whether your account has the permissions to manage custom link types in the project area.

Or, maybe, did you simply not modify the work item form in order to display the link? (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSYMRC_6.0.6/com.ibm.team.workitem.doc/topics/t_customize_work_item_editor_links.html)

In RTC 6.0.6, you can use the Link Types tab of the web UI project area editor to create custom link types between two files, but not between two work items. So this is working as designed. To create custom link types between work items, see Luca's answer.

There are two things:

1. create custom link types between two files
2. create custom link types between work items

I assume creating custom link types between two files require server plugin extension.
