How to monitor the status of a DOORS-to-DNG migration

Bob 3 (1481464) | asked Jun 26 '18, 7:15 p.m.

How can I monitor the status of a DOORS-to-DNG migration?

Once the migration begins, the instructions indicate that the window can be closed and that the migration will continue. Fine, but once the window is closed, how do we know the status of the migration? Percent complete? Failed? Success?

Thanks!

Hi,

the progress is not really easy to track once you close the window. You can only monitor the server activity as well as you can add widget showing changes to the DNG dashboard. Please be careful with packages with over 100 modules in one migiz. They used to hang in DNG 605.
The easiest option would be to count objects and links in DOORS classic (ootb or via DXL). This will give you indication on the percentage.
In the last project we have migrated over 4000 modules from DOORS to DNG. Let us know if you have more questions.
